Fast Friendly and they have never messed up my orders.
I'm a frequent flyer here, they always deliver. Their online ordering experience is pretty amazing as well.
The restaurant was relatively clean, and the staff was friendly and prompt. Also prices were reasonable.
The good:
Would not return.
Ordered the Hunan chicken dinner, which came with an egg roll and two crab wontons. The egg roll and wonton were served first, and do not come with any sweet and sour sauce. You must order this separately for about $2.
Howah had been my go-to favorite take out place for years. We're talking since 2001-2002. But the last several visits have been inconsistent and disappointing. The flavor of the meal I always order hasn't tasted as it should, with a watered down and gritty sauce, and the flavor was off and almost sour when it should be more sweet. I had an interaction with a young lady, who had been working there for sometime, have a conversation with another employee where she told a customer in the drive through they could f*** off as I stood at the counter window and heard the whole conversation because I'd been standing there for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to collect my money for a call in order. I could see it was a high stress situation for the workers, but I was kind of shocked at their openness to speak about customers in such a way in front of other customers. Makes me wonder what they could say about me. It will be worth my drive to the Farmington location where the food is ALWAYS excellent and the servers are polite and kind.
The Hunan chicken and fried rice was ready shortly thereafter, but was only a 1/4 cup or so of chicken, with a good bit of gristle and fat included. Most of the entree was baby corn and sliced carrots. Also fried rice had very little flavor.
The crab wontons were mostly all cream cheese with no crab meat visible, but were on par with a Chinese buffet. The egg roll was the best part of the full dinner.
Summary: Cheap chinese buffet quality food at an ok price. Not on par with local Houston restaurants we frequent.
The bad:
The food is great! I wish they delivered and sometimes it takes a while to get my order.
